In 2014 Grete Ernst founded Schiffbauingenieure Hamburg to offer consulting services to ship operators and suppliers covering all model test related issues.

Although in naval architecture model testing is an inherent part of the ship design process, detailed knowledge about the procedures and evaluation is not widely spread. Over the years that Grete Ernst has worked as a project manager at Hamburg Ship Model Basin HSVA she gained first-hand experience in all aspects of model testing.
